client testimonial
"I have organised the live music for the North Leeds Charity Beer Festival for the last twelve years. This is a hugely successful community event held over two days at North Leeds cricket Club. This year we raised a record £16,000 for local, national and international charities. It’s not just the beer that draws people in – it’s the excellent live music of all genres performed by local musicians, all generously giving their services for no charge in order to maximise the take for the charities.
We opened the second day of the festival with a new choir 'Pop 'n' Rock' an amazing female choir led by the experienced and versatile musician Georgia Jakubiak.
The choir made an impact before singing a note – I counted up to 30 singers standing in three rows, crammed onto the stage. Well chosen backing tracks then thudded out and the rock and roll began – impressive soloists supported by great sweeping, soaring harmonies of the massed choir, with some songs expertly sung a capella. Their repertoire consisted of well chosen covers over a broad range of genres. My favourites were the old standard Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?, and the stirring anthem Sisters are doing it for themselves.
Pop 'n' Rock Choir was an instant hit with the audience, and provided a great kick start to the second day of the Festival. I look forward to seeing them again." - Scott Wolstenholme
