MEET YOUR CHOIR LEADERS

Company Directors Georgia & Kim

OUR STORY

Georgia and Kim first crossed paths in 2020 when Georgia auditioned for The Hummingbirds UK, a 1940s-style close harmony trio founded by Kim. During their first conversation, they discovered a surprising connection: both had studied at Bretton Hall College (University of Leeds) and later earned teaching qualifications from Huddersfield University — yet somehow, their paths had never crossed.

Throughout their twenties, both women followed exciting and diverse performance careers — Georgia toured with a signed indie band, while Kim graced the stages of London’s West End. Alongside their work as performers, they also built careers as dedicated educators, teaching music and performing arts across a range of settings.

Eventually settling in Yorkshire, their shared passion for music and education brought them together. They began collaborating through Georgia’s choir business Singing Mums, teaching and performing together with The Hummingbirds UK. With over 20 years of combined experience in teaching and performing, they discovered a natural creative chemistry and a shared vision.

This dynamic partnership led to the launch of Pop’n’Rock — a company devoted to fostering community, building confidence, and enhancing wellbeing through the power of music and singing. Together, Georgia and Kim are on a mission to help others find joy and connection through voice.
