🌟 Kim’s Unforgettable Moment at Latitude Festival 2025 🌟
Sometimes dreams really do come true… and for our very own Kim, one of the amazing founders of Pop ’n’ Rock, this summer brought an experience she will never forget.
Over the Latitude Festival weekend, Kim received a truly special invitation — to join Gareth Malone’s Choir on the Main Stage, Obelisk Arena. But this wasn’t just a quick performance — it was a full musical journey from rehearsal to showtime.
🎶 The Rehearsals
Kim’s adventure began on the Friday morning, when she joined 100 other singers who would be performing alongside her. They gathered in a charming old barn on the festival grounds, rehearsing each day from 9:30am to 12pm on Friday and Saturday. The choir was a vibrant mix of people from all walks of life, with varied musical experiences — united by a shared love of singing. The atmosphere was buzzing, filled with high-energy vibes and genuine camaraderie.
On the very first day, Kim spotted Gareth and decided to be bold — asking if she could audition for one of the solo parts. Without hesitation, Gareth sat down at the piano and said, “Sing then.” Kim rose to the challenge, singing ‘Feeling Good’with passion. It was a moment of bravery and joy, one that pushed her out of her comfort zone in the best possible way.
🎤 The Performance
On Sunday morning, the choir took to the Obelisk Arena Main Stage, performing to thousands of festival-goers. The crowd sang, clapped, and soaked up the magic. For Kim, it was pure joy to perform alongside such an inspiring group of singers, and the shared energy on stage was unforgettable.
🎵 Behind the Scenes
Backstage was just as thrilling. Kim met incredible musicians and technicians who make big festival performances possible — and even crossed paths with Elbow and Snow Patrol, who were performing later that evening. Gareth himself was warm and encouraging, even recording a personal video message for all the team at Pop ’n’ Rock, sending love and wishing us the very best for the future.
💖 The Lasting Impact
Kim made new friends, unforgettable memories, and built connections that will last a lifetime. Gareth has even asked her to keep in touch — so who knows what might be next? One thing’s for sure: Kim is planning on doing more work with inspiring people like Gareth Malone in the future.
What an epic experience — and we couldn’t be prouder of her for representing Pop ’n’ Rock on such an iconic stage. 🌈🎤
