🎸 Belper Summer Rocks 2026

A Week of Music, Songwriting & Performance for Young Musicians  

Dates: 27th - 31st  July 2026 10:00 am - 4:00 pm with a gig Saturday August 1st in the afternoon. 
Location: Splitz Dance Centre (The Corn Exchange) 8a King St, Belper DE56 1PS & Sound Hub Studios. 
Cost: £300 (inc. VAT) – includes end-of-week gig

Join us for a fun-filled, music-packed week at Belper Summer Rocks 2026, designed for young musicians who want to create, collaborate and perform!

Over five exciting days, participants will:
🎵 Write and record an original song AND make a music video. (Examples of last year's songs on this page! How amazing are they???) 
🎤 Learn and rehearse songs in their band
🎶 Build skills in vocals, drums, bass, guitar or keyboards with specialised workshops for all the kids. 
🤝 Make friends and have loads of fun. 
🎸 Perform in a live gig at a live music venue TBC on the Saturday afternoon.

Session Times:

  • All age groups 8-16 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

We’re looking for young people who can sing or play drums, bass, guitar, or keyboards. Whether you’re already in a band or looking to join one, this is your chance to rock out and grow your musical skills in a supportive, creative environment.

Led by:

  • Sarah Williams – Pop n Rock leader, Vocal & Songwriting Coach

  • Dan Williams   - Drum / Percussion Coach & Multi Instrumentalist.

  • Joe Brown – Multi Instrumentalist & Technical Wizard.

  • Katy Brentwell – Piano / keys Coach, Sax & Flute.

HOW IT WORKS

Who can join?
Musicians who are competent in their instruments enough to play in a group, kids aged 8-16 years old.

When and where?
Session run w/c 27th July 2026 Splitz Dance Centre & Sound-Hub Studios.

Is there a performance?
Yes! There will be a gig for all participants on the Saturday at a local live music venue TBC.

How much does it cost?
The full week costs £300 inc. VAT for the week. 10:00 - 4:00 pm each day.
