A Growing Choir, A Growing Family 💗🎶
Over the past few months, something truly special has been happening at Pop ’n’ Rock.
Since Christmas, our membership has grown from 180 to nearly 250 singers — and every single new face, voice, and smile has added something magical to our community. To all our new members: welcome. And to everyone who has been with us along the way: thank you. Pop ’n’ Rock simply wouldn’t be what it is without you.
New Choirs, New Voices, Big Energy
We’ve absolutely loved seeing our new Crossgates and Belper choirs launch so successfully. From day one, they’ve been bursting with energy, singing favourites like:
- Don’t Stop Believin’
- A Little Respect
- Three Little Birds
- We Found Love
Meanwhile, our established choirs have been rocking out to Fleetwood Mac and Madonna medleys, alongside big pop hits like Counting Stars and Ordinary.
And our Youth Choir? They’ve been smashing it with We Will Rock You and Shake It Off. Serious star power. 👏✨
What’s Coming Up Next
The excitement is only growing.
Next term, we’ll be adding more rock into the mix, with songs from legends like Blondie and Bryan Adams, all building towards our big concert in May. 🎸 TBC
We’re also bringing back two much-loved favourites — Hold Back the River and Wild Horses — for a big sing-together and filming session on March 30th in Roundhay. 📸 More details will be coming very soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
